"Defender" - 3D Character design (Blender3D)

Lady "Defender" will be the last area that i wanted to work on, so i could close my first circle of interest. Which means that i had worked on interior, exterior, industrial design for variable products, animation, vfx stuff, design in genreal and so on. The last thing i wanted to put my hands on is game industry stuff, and i decided to strat with character design.
I started straight foward with no sketches, or drawings, except online examples i had for reference.
There are couple more details, motifs, elements on this character, some are from medieval serbian history, Lazarević dynasty Coat of arms, to be precise, and some are my own, like medallion on the neck.
This is just one character for start, i pretty much didn't do any character as this one is untill now, exept four models which are really low poly models in Project "Loading".
As i have no more areas to learn about, for now, the only thing i'll do in following period are improvements in the areas i mention above.
The whole model is done in Blender3D and Gimp  for some texture details.

So, enjoy! Like it! Love it! Share it! :)

My work will be available on CgHub.com in future, as well! :)

  1. This reminds me of a game I use to play some years ago. I think it would look a lot better with more feminine characteristics. Longer legs, thinner legs, bigger breasts etc.

  4. 3D Animation https://pinksquare.com/3d-animation/ : Exactly What Your Product Needs

2017 saw the value of the international animation market rise to $254 billion. We, however, don't anticipate it to stop there. As animation makes its way into the world of marketing, we will undoubtedly see its popularity rise even higher.

3D animation is traditionally a reserve of the entertainment industry. This is simply because animation has kept us fascinated in movie theatres for the longest time. The capability to captivate and inspire is in fact the key reason why animation is so popular among marketers nowadays.

So how efficient is 3D product animation?

    Well, Most Surely YES!

This is best illustrated by brands like Gillette and the beloved Apple. With Gillette, for example, a boring shave is transformed into a 3D adventure. Now consider at the extent of trust the marketing technique garners for the brand. Gillette was smart enough to realize that to rise above the competition, it had to move away from generic advertisement. The quality of the animation is regarded reflective of the brand's quality. This is what 3D product animation intends to achieve- to help you tower over the competition.

The advantages of 3D animation- as a marketing strategy- can be summed up in three primary points:

1.Profit Minded Prototyping: Releasing a prototype to the market is a really expensive affair. These expensive prototypes yield the necessary feedback but, what if you could get the feedback at a cheaper price? Well, now there is. 3D product animation can be used to design a virtual prototype and expose it to the market. This way, you get the feedback synonymous with prototypes without the expense.

    2. First Impressions Come Once: Let's face it, the majority of products are boring. Imagine the Gillette brand without the 3D animation. Would it not put you to sleep in the first five seconds?

3D product animation has the capability to transform even the most boring of products into a blockbuster. The product is viewable across all 360-degrees with special effects added for that extra punch. Do it properly and the market will obsess over your product.

Apple's iPhone X is a good example of this phenomenon. Apple invested greatly on 3D product animation to have the phone noticed. Many other brand names including Microsoft, Huawei, and Samsung have also used 3D product animations. This is the reason why it is so difficult to beat these companies.

3.Money Matters: 3D product animation is not an expense, it is a save. Apart from marketing, the 3D model can also be used to identify glitches in an unfinished product. Designers are afforded the chance to improve the brand before the prototypes come out.

On top of that, animation is a really cost-effective marketing platform. Just take a look at the popularity of 3D modelling rigs and Virtual Reality equipment to have a feel of just how hungry the world is for 3D.

Your product can gain a lot from 3D technologies. You can give it glamor, appeal, and mystique. Being a contemporary development, animation provides your product legitimacy in the modern market. The wrong first impression has been the death of many products.

Don't be part of that statistic. Abandon generic advertising techniques. Turn your advertisement into a 3D tale showcasing your product as the elegant and irresistible hero. You do want to be the next Apple and Huawei, don't you?
